Margaret Trombold Horn passed away October 23, 2010, in her home with family in Springfield, Mo. Margaret was born to George and Margaret Trombold, November 23, 1916, in Chanute, Kan. Preceding her in death were her brothers, Robert Trombold, George Trombold, Walter Trombold, and Willard Trombold. She married Albert H. Horn on September 18, 1940, in Iola, Kan.Margaret is survived by her husband, Albert, of Springfield; her children, Jack Horn of Hideaway, Texas, Hank Horn (Lucy) of Portland, Ore., and Marga Pogue (Dick), of Springfield, Mo. She was grandmother to Douglas Horn, Michael Horn, Angie Courtney, Krista Cornejo, Christy Marran, and Keith Marran. Margaret is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one sister in law, Charlotte Trombold of Wichita, Kan.Margaret graduated from Iola, Kansas High School and Kansas University. She worked for many years as a medical technologist in Tulsa, Okla., Monett, Mo., and Springfield, Mo. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Monett and First and Calvary Presbyterian Church of Springfield. Margaret was truly an example of wisdom and devotion to family and friends.Memorial service will be at a later date.
