HARRIS, Margaret 1948 - 2014It is with great sorrow that the family of Margaret Harris-English announces her passing after a short but feisty and courageous battle with cancer which ended Friday, March 28, 2014. She was 65 years of age. Margaret took her last breath in the comfort of her home with both sister Ellen and long-time friend Darlene at her side. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Jack & Mamie Harris (Desmarais), and most recently by her younger sister, Cathy Harris. She is survived by siblings, Monty (Tish) and Ellen (Jeff) and a large close and extended families. Margaret was the cherished mother of Kim and Charlene, adored grandmother to Kelsea (Andrew), Dalton, and Dryden, devoted aunt to Jeffrey, Nicholas (Tiffany), and Gerry (Melissa) and a very special presence in the lives of Jimmy (Diedra) & Audree Ann. Margaret's infectious laugh and larger-than- life personality will be sorely missed. A Service honouring Margaret's time on earth and the memories she leaves behind will be held at St. Gabriel's Parish, 2157 Center Street, Montreal, H3K 1J5, on Saturday, April 5th at 11 a.m., to be followed by food and refreshments next door at Paroisse St. Charles. The family would like to offer a very special thank you to the Point St. Charles Local Community Service Centre staff, especially nurse Marie Claude Blackburn and Dr. Deschenes, for the wonderfully sensitive and professional care they provided Margaret during the very difficult last months of her life.
