Margaret M. Peg Age 85, of Elmira and Bradenton, FL died at home July 3, 2005 after an extended illness, surrounded by her husband and daughters. Peg was born May 1, 1920 in New Britain, CT, a daughter of William and Mary Smith. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her son William J. Flanagan, III. She is survived by her husband of 61 years William J. Flanagan, Jr., daughter and son-in-law, Marcia E. and Robert Ferri, with children Andrea L. and Robert J. Ferri, all of Wyckoff, NJ; daughter Jean F. Cullen of Elmira; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Smith of New Britain, CT, and John and Sally Smith of Newington, CT; along with several nieces, nephews and special friends. Peg was a former employee of Elmira College. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed gardening, cooking and golf. Peg was a former member of both Bath and Elmira Country Clubs. She spent 30 years as a summer resident on Keuka Lake. Peg was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Elmira and St. Peter and Paul the Apostle Church in Bradenton, FL. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A prayer service at McInerny Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at times to be announced.
