She was a native of Madison County, TN and was also a member of the Baptist Church. She is the last of eighteen children. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Spitzer and parents, Glen Newton and Ora Forsyth Carter. She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Brister and Linda Henry; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
