Harrington, Margaret E. WEST STEPHENTOWN Margaret E. Harrington (Hoffarth), age 67, beloved wife of William E. Harrington, died on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at her home in West Stephentown. Margaret fell asleep in the Lord surrounded by her loving husband, Bill and loving friends and family. Margaret was a faithful follower of her Lord Jesus Christ. Her kindness and love will be remembered and missed by all that loved and knew her. Margaret courageously battled cancer for 21 years, trusting more in the Lord and his truth than what she saw. Margaret was a graduate of Columbia High School, she worked as a Kelly Girl at Schaefer Brewery, where she first met her husband Bill, years before they were married. She also worked as an executive assistant at Leeds and Northrop. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends and coworkers from North Colonie Schools where she worked with Dr. Plackie for 17 years. She retired to be with her loving husband, Bill in Indian Lake, N.Y. They enjoyed traveling all over the country together. They enjoyed wildlife and many friends and family that visited their "humble abode." Margaret is predeceased by her parents, William and Wilhelmina Hoffarth; her brother, Frederick Hoffarth, and Theresa Chwazik her stepdaughter. She is survived by her husband, William Harrington; her nieces and nephews whom she helped raise, Anthony Hoffarth, Michael Hoffarth, Christi (Bert) Day, Antoinette Hoffman, Ruth Scrum, Louise (Peggy) Hoffarth, and Peter Hoffarth. Stepchildren, Cheryl (Joseph) Iaconrtti and Cynthia French, William (Debbie) E. Harrington Jr., Carl (Linda) C Harrington, Robert (Patricia) M. Harrington, and Sherrie (Michael) Grace; lifelong friends, Linda Romano, Carol Cramer, Peter (Edna) Olson; 11 grandnieces and nephews, and two great-great-nephews, 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Also survived by Sadie, Christie, Charles, Anna, and Jessica Olson, who love her as their beloved Maui. "Aunt Margaret" is fondly remembered by many, more than can be listed. She meant so much to so many, all that were blessed with her smile will miss her dearly. The family would like to thank all the staff from Community Hospice for all of their care, compassion and love over the past several months, no words can express our gratitude for their help and support.
