DEWITT, MARGARET 74, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at her home. She was the former Margaret Grisham and a native of Princeton, KY. She graduated from Butler High School in Princeton and attended Murray State University. She was a realtor, a former minister of music for First Baptist Church of Sturgis, KY, and 18th Street Baptist Church in Louisville and a member of Graymoor Women's Club and Sigma Alpha Iota. She was a very active member of and deacon at St. Matthews Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Milton Grisham, and her sister, Verbal Ann Hughes. Margaret is survived by her sons, Kevin Lee Dewitt (Martha) and Michael Kent Dewitt (Anita); a daughter, Kimberle D. Boyd (Paul); a sister, Rowena Madeline Carner; and five grandchildren, Erin, Brandon, Jacob, Joy Beth and Hannah. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at St. Matthews Baptist Church, 3515 Grandview Ave., with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 2:30-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
