Margaret Delores McGinty, 78, of Williston died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at the Chiefland Hospice Care Center, following a long illness.Miss McGinty was born May 9, 1936 to the late Daniel and Isabella McGinty. Reared in Harrison, N.J., she attended Holy Cross Elementary and graduated from Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, N. J. She lived for many years in Chatham, N.J. before moving to Florida in 1993. She was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, AARP and Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston. Margaret was a loving and outgoing person, who loved Bingo and traveling. She is survived by two sisters, Eileen Livingstone of Largo and Jessie Ostroman of Williston, as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a brother, John McGinty.A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 17353 U. S. 27 A, Williston, with Father Robert Trujillo, celebrant.
