ROCHESTER — Margaret Caroline Davis born on July 23, 1920 in Effingham, N.H. Margaret passed away on June 21, 2012 at the age of 91, surrounded by many friends and family members.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rodney C. Davis of Tamworth; three sisters; one brother; and four sons-in-law.Margaret became one of Jehovah's Witnesses over 70 years ago and this was a very important part of her life. Family meant the world to her and she loved visiting with them. She loved to cook and was well known for some very special dishes. She loved to make jams and jellies and was known to her great grandchildren as "Jelly Nana" She loved to play cards and was highly competitive! Everyone who spent quality time with her was blessed to have known such a kind and loving woman. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and her congregation.She is survived by seven children, Linnie Lawler of Freedom, N.H., Rodney and Laura Davis of Moodus, Conn., Larry and Amy Davis of Chocurua, N.H., Roseanna and Cecil Frost of Farmington, Linda Kendall of Lebanon, Maine, Neal Davis of Colchester, Conn., and Mellonie Poliquin of Rochester; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Toshiko Bower; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many lifelong friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the very caring nursing Staff at The Greenwood Nursing Home in Sanford, Maine.
