->Groton - Margaret (Latham) Davis, 97, of Groton, died on Oct. 15, 2010, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of James Davis.She was born on March 2, 1913, in New London, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Carlisle) Latham.Mrs. Davis attended Groton Bible Chapel and was a member of the choir at Groton Heights Baptist Church. She also taught Sunday School at both churches. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and the Red Sox. She enjoyed her time at the Groton Senior Center playing cards and spending time with friends.She is survived by her nephews, Ken and Leonard Latham; her niece, Lorna Siwinski, and many other nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Albert, William, and Andrew Latham and her two sisters, Emma Pearson and Ethel Coe.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. Burial will follow in Colonel Ledyard Cemetery, Groton.
