Graveside services for Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Barton, 85, of Anniston, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior at Gray Brown Service Mortuary. Mrs. Barton passed away Saturday in Jacksonville. Survivors include daughters, Thelma Hicks and Shirley Phillips, both of Anniston, Lynn Courtney (Tony), of Austin, Texas; son, Joe Speed (Sue), of Rome, Ga.; grandchildren, Tina Brown, Tony Hicks, John Phillips, Jonathan Speed, Chris Speed, Farley Speed, James Speed, Scott Brasher and Jennifer Angle; nieces Deb Hicks (Roger) and Kim Price. Mrs. Barton is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Barton and her parents, James and Ethel Goddard and four brothers. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
