Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rainbow Memorial Gardens for Mae Virginia Fleming, 64, Gadsden, who died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009. The Rev. Bruce Word will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Jones; son, Scott Fleming; sister, Martha Sue Jones Miller; nephew, Calvin Miller Jr.; sister-in-law, Chris Jones; and her parents, Floyd and Lucille Jones.Survivors include sisters, Belinda (Marty) Lockridge, Spring Garden, and Lucinda (James) Franklin, Goose Creek, S.C.; and brothers, Newton Emery Jones, Rome, Ga., and Kenneth (Faye) Jones, Rome, Ga.Pallbearers will be Kevin Lockridge, Van Lockridge, Joe Pullen, James Ivy, Dwight Gary and Richard Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be Special Class and all Crosspoint members, and her hair dresser Kim Johnson.Special thanks to her caregivers, Floyd Leranger, Centre, Heyleah Higgins, Spring Garden, Rebecca Crook, Piedmont; all doctors and staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center; and Dr. Singh and staff at Floyd Specialty Hospital in Rome, Ga.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
