JACKSON, Mae October 25, 1916 - December 15, 2010 Died suddenly at Inglewood Care Centre after a long healthy life. Predeceased by husband George, younger sister Chris Bell (Jim), younger brother Alan Morton and four older siblings in Scotland. Mae leaves her daughter Yvonne Rolston (Allan Bogutz), grandsons Simon Rolston (Rose Casey), Michael Rolston (Heather) and great-grandson Fynn Rolston , sister-in-law Hazel Morton and many nephews, nieces and grand-nephews and nieces and step granchildren in B.C., Scotland, Wales, Australia and Arizona to celebrate her memory. Mae was a member of the Air Transport Auxiliary at Prestwick Airport, Scotland during World War II; she, George and Yvonne emigrated to Canada in 1958 and shortly thereafter settled in West Vancouver. Mae loved the West Van seawall and walked there with a friend most mornings for forty years. Her spiritual home was Holyburn Gospel Chapel and she took comfort and guidance from the community who regularly met there. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Capilano View Cemetery West Vancouver Dec. 24, 10:00 A.M. Reception following.
