GRAY, Madeline Ann (nee Nelson) February 9, 1937 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan December 20, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Madeline, beloved wife of Alan Gray of Calgary, passed away on December 20, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Madeline was born on February 9, 1937 in Saskatoon, SK to parents Ann and Andrew Nelson. She graduated from Western Canada High School in Calgary, AB. After graduating she studied nursing at Holy Cross Hospital, and obtained her Registered Nursing Certificate in 1960. Madeline also studied Social Work at the University of Calgary. She was an RN at many local Calgary hospitals for many years. Family was very important to her; especially her role as loving Mother to her daughter Nancy and being a doting Grandmother to her grandson Alexander. Besides her beloved husband, Madeline is survived by her daughter Nancy Scott, her son-in-law William Scott, her grandson Alexander Scott and her brother-in- law, Tom Gray. She was predeceased by her parents Ann and Andrew Nelson and her brother Lorne Nelson. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The Gray family wishes to extend our sincerest thanks to the staff of the ER and Unit 36 of the Foothill Medical Center for their care. In living memory of Madeline Gray, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
