Funeral for Mabel Audrey Patterson, 78, of Decatur will be today, Dec. 14, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Town Creek with the Rev. Milton Burks officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.Mrs. Patterson, who died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation, was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Lawrence County to John Luther Campbell and Zora Lansdell Campbell. She was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loving wife for 56 years. Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Parker and Glenn Campbell. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Eugene Patterson; one son, Larry Patterson of Decatur; one daughter, Pam Baker of Trinity; three brothers, Ray Campbell of Town Creek, Johnny Campbell of Hatton and Carl Campbell of Harvest; four sisters, Ruby Campbell and Ruth Ault, both of Town Creek, Joyce Moore of Montgomery and Macillia Weems of Decatur; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark Williams, Julian Hamilton, Roger Parker, Julian Bell, Doug Shumake and Jeff Campbell.
