SCOTT, MYRTLE ALICE Myrtle Alice Scott, age 81, of Birmingham, AL died Sunday, August 28, 2011 in Birmingham. Miss Scott was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County. She was a former member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and most recently a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class. She worked fifty plus years at Merril Lynch of Birmingham, AL as an Executive Administrator Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nannie Pearl Scott. She is survived by one sister, Mary Lou Scott VanCleave (Celton) of Knoxville, TN; nieces and nephews, Thomas VanCleave (Catherine) of Leesville, VA, Alice Quaintance (David) of Hermitage, TN, Mary Ann Hunley (William) of Knoxville, TN, John VanCleave (Patti) of Downingtown, PA, and Joe VanCleave of Knoxville, TN. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Royal Towers of Birmingham. >
