SMITH, MILDRED IRENE MARTIN, 102, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Mt. Holly Nursing Home. She was a former member of Ninth and O Baptist Church and Cloverleaf Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Marvin Smith; son, David Ray and infant son Ronald Smith. She is also preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Amanda Borden Martin; brothers, Arthur, Joe, Lloyd and Johnny Martin; and sisters, Emma Holton, Alice Logsdon, Lillian May and Alma Doyle. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Cole (Bennie), of Park City; two granddaughters, Lauren and Drew Smith and their mother Leslie Smith; also many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ratterman and Son, 3800 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. at Ratterman & Sons. Memorial contributions may be made to Cloverleaf Baptist Church Building Fund.
