LEE, MILDRED FORCE, age 93, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 4th 2011. She was a longtime member of Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church and lived her entire life in Birmingham. For many years MS. Lee enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, family and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Nancy Hill Force; sisters, Annie Force and Gedie Price; son-in-law, Harold F. Saufley and her husband of 43 years, J.D. Lee. Survivors include daughters Barbara Saufley of Mt. View, CA and Mary Elizabeth Lind (Fred) of Baton Rouge, LA; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; niece, Betty Mayfield; great nieces, Jere Caldwell and Loyce Stewart of Birmingham. She also has several other great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at 3:00p.m. with Dr. Cary Speaker officiating. Visitation will be before the service at 2:30p.m. in the chapel. Special thanks to the staff of Evergreen at St. Martin's in the Pines, Humphrey's House Cottage, and New Beacon Hospice for all their loving care.
