WILSON, Mary Watters, 80, was born in Anniston, Alabama, Sep-tember 1922, and was a resident of Birmingham for most of her life until she moved to Montgomery in Oc-tober, 2002 to be close to her daughter. She passed away in Montgomery on August 19, 2003. She worked for many years as an outstanding legal secretary for prominent Birmingham trial lawy-ers, Bob Donworth, Neal Newell and Morris K. Sirote. Her survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Thrasher Sabel (Wayne) of Mont-gomery; grandson, Micah Moore of California; her sisters, Ruby W. Ballenger and Frances W. Powers of Birmingham and Betty W. Robinson of Huntsville; four nephews; five nieces and numerous great-nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2003, from Ri-dout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Birmingham, with her ne-phew, Ronald E. Ballenger, officiat-ing. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbear-ers will be Micah Moore, Mark Ro-binson, Robbie Robinson, Jim Felder, Ronald Ballenger and Tom Watson.Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel, 205-879-3401.
