JACKSON, (Nelsie÷ Mary Nelson, age 57, peacefully leftthis world surrounded byfamily Saturday, March 29,2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was bornJuly 4, 1950, in Selma, AL, toJames and Florence Rogers.A resident of Millbrook, AL,and formerly of Troy, AL, shegraduated high school in Selma, AL, and college fromTroy University with a degreein teaching. She enrichedthe lives of young peopleover a teaching and childcare career in the Troy cityschool system, home daycare and concluding at Covenant Christian Academy inTroy before moving to Millbrook, AL, in 2000. She wasan amazing woman, full ofstrength, hope and determination. She had the sweetestof depositions, the kindestspirit and a smile that brightened all around her. She wasan angel among us. Nelsie ispreceded in death by her father, James C. Rogers, Sr. andis survived by her loving anddevoted husband of 37 years,John S. Jackson. She is alsosurvived by her mother, Florence Rogers of Millbrook, AL,her brother, James C. (Joy)Rogers, Jr., of Sarasota, FL,her son, Judd S. (Penny)Jackson of Destin, FL, herdaughter Jennifer A. (Jeff) Kamykowski of Millbrook, ALand four grandchildren,Spencer and Parker Jacksonand Bailey and Emily Kamykowski, whom she adoredand cherished every minuteof her time she spent withthem. Visitation celebratingNelsie's life will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008, from 6:00until 8:00 p.m. at the PrattvilleMemorial Chapel. Gravesideservices will be held at 2:00p.m. at the Prattville MemoryGardens Cemetery onWednesday, April 2, 2008. Aspecial thank you to hermany doctors, especially Dr.David Morrison and DianeWills, RN.
