WILSON, MARY McMAHON, 93, of Winter Park died June 12, 2004. She was born on April 20, 1911 in Key West, FL. After graduating from Key West High School in 1929, she moved to Miami and married Woodrow E. Wilson on June 6, 1940. They raised their only child, Emily W. Lawton, in Miami and later moved to Winter Park. They were also residents of Blowing Rock, NC. Mary was an exceptional homemaker who cared deeply for her family, friends, church, garden and many pets. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Winter Park. She was a gifted pianist, able to play anything friends requested if they could simply hum a tune for her. She was an avid reader, especially fond of historical novels. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John C. McMahon, Sr. and Joseph C. McMahon, Jr., both of Key West. Her survivors include her husband of 64 years, Woodrow; her daughter Emily and son-in-law Dr. Thomas C. Lawton; grandchildren Lisa and Brett (Laura) Lawton; and great granddaughter Annabelle, all of Winter Park, and Hilda McMahon, her sister-in-law of Key West. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 338 E. Lyman, Winter Park, FL 32789 or the charity of your choice. A private family service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2004.
