MARY M. HANLEY LANSING, IL Mary M. Hanley, age 87 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014. She is survived by her 10 children: Eileen, Edward, Daniel, Patricia, Michael (Pam), Mary, Rita (Bruce) Rolando, Monica (Ken Halloway), Sheila (Boris Barvish), and Timothy; and seven grandchildren: Joshua, Daniel, Erin, Connor, Megan, Gabriel, and Emmanuel. Mrs. Hanley was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Sr., and daughter, Celeste. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Hanley on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Knock Catholic Church, 501 163rd St., Calumet City, IL with Father Patrick Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL. Friends are invited to visit with Mrs. Hanley's family on Monday, December 1 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at the Schroeder- Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Hanley's name to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul (svdpchicago.org). Mrs. Hanley was a founding member of Our Lady of Knock where she served on the Altar and Rosary Society and in the Funeral Choir and Ministry of Care. Mrs. Hanley was a high school teacher in District 215 from 1974 - 2006. She earned a degree in Chemistry from Mundelein College and also earned degrees in History and Education www.schroederlauer.com
