WILSON, MARY FRANCES TREVARTHEN 91, of Leeds, passed away on June 17, 2011. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 20th at 4:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Phyllis Riddle officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Sides, Joshua Sides, Tommy Sides, Michael Sides, Scott Sides, Ricky Wear, and Shane Roberts. The family will receive friends at Elmwood Chapel one hour prior to the graveside service. Mrs. Wilson was born on September 24, 1919 to Thomas and Mary Belle Travarthen of Pratt City. Her professional career included working at Lloyd Noland Hospital and UAB where she was the medical assistant to the late Dr. Elizabeth Crosby. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leeds, Alabama. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Wilson; her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Tommie Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Lewis Williams; and her brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Lorene Trevarthen. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Becky Wilson; grandchildren, Matthew, Emma, and Rebekah Wilson, Pam Glass, Julie Wilson, and Alan Wilson; great grandchild, Heather Glass; and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Preston Miller. The family would like to express their appreciation to Deborah Roberts, Pamela Wear, Chara Dean, and Oydessy Hospice for the extraordinary care they provided Mrs. Wilson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends make donations to their favorite charities. >
