Mrs. Carpenter was a native of Carrollton, Alabamaand had resided in the Montgomery area for the last eighteen years. She was one offour daughters and six sonsborn to the late GeorgeMcGee and Millie ParkerMcGee. She was preceded indeath by her husband, JoeHester Carpenter and sons,Dr. Joseph Carpenter and Dr.George P. Carpenter and twoof her sisters and five of herbrothers. Visitation will occurFriday, February 26, 2010 from4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 2815Forbes Drive, Montgomery,concluding at 6:00 p.m. witha scripture service. Funeralservices will be held at SalemBaptist Church, 1136 BaptistHill Road, Greensboro, AL36744 at 11:00 a.m., Saturday,February 27, 2010 with interment following in the SarahChristian Cemetery in Greensboro with Father Manuel Williams, C.
