JOHNSON, MARY C., 88 McIntosh - Mrs. Mary C. Johnson, 88, longtime resident of McIntosh, Florida, died Friday, October 3, 2014 at home. Mrs. Johnson was born on February 18, 1926 in Deland, Florida to the late Joshua and Frankie Connell. She attended Stetson College in Deland, Florida where she earned her Associate of Arts Degree. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church of McIntosh. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Health Sciences Department of OB/ GYN for 33 years. She was a Christian woman and a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John K. Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Johnson of Gainesville, and Lorraine Cheshire, of McIntosh; one son, Josh Johnson, of Orange Lake; one brother, James M. Connell, of Deland, and two grandchildren, Matthew Cheshire, of Tampa, and Stephanie Cheshire, of McIntosh. Mrs. Johnson will be interred in Florida National Cemetery on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
