The Home Going Celebration for Mary B. Jackson, 84, of DeLand, Florida who transitioned into eternity Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Halifax Health West Volusia Care Center, will be 11am Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Macedonia MB Church, Pastor Melvin L. Young, Sr., 514 W. Beresford Ave., DeLand, FL. Pastor Willie Jackson will deliver the main eulogy. Burial will follow at Community Cemetery DeLand. Mary Brown was born June 15, 1927 to C. B. Brown and Eunice Johnson. She was educated in Volusia County School system. Joined in Holy matrimony to Ed Morris to that union on January 3, 1945 Judith Carol Morris was born. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the usher Board, Mission Society, Mother Board and a devoted Sunday School Member. She was employed by Joe Scarlett, Volusia County School Board, The Kaiser Family of DeLand and retired from Alliance Community Center. After retirement she devoted her time to being a foster Grandparent. Preceded her in death are her parents, C.B. and Eunice Johnson May, Husband Johnny Jackson, Daughter Judith Carol Washington, Brother, Lawrence Wesley and Sister, Scharles McArthur. Leaving to cherish her memories: Sister, Gwendolyn Thomas; Brothers, Wallace (Gloria) Thomas, Robert (Hazel) Thomas, Peter (Lillie Mae) Thomas, Adam (Betty) Thomas; Grandchildren, Pastor Adrian (Erie) Washington, Sr., Kimberly (Bobby) Johnson, Gregory Washington, Sr.; Great grandchildren, Quinton, Adrian, Jr., Akeem, Adrainecka, Brandon, Totyanna, Quindon, Aisha, Maqwonda, Faith, Gregory, Jr., and 2 Great-Great-Grands; Brother-in-law, Rev. Abner (Annie) Jackson; Sisters-in-law, Pearline Jackson, Annie Bell Morris, and Vickie Brown; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends; Special Sister-in-law, Rose Thomas; Special Nieces, Pamela Thomas, Anita Robinson, Elizabeth Jefferson, Mattie Stevens and Ernestine Morris; Special Friends, Christine Richardson, Ann Carr, Berneva Carter, Alberta Jackson, Jeanetta Mills.
