LEE, Mary Alice Herren,died as a result of the tornado that struck her homeat Lake Martin on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She wasthe daughter of the late Arnold Whitfield Herren, Jr.,and Fannie Flournoy Herren of Herren Hill Plantation,Tallassee. She was a sixthgeneration Tallasseean.She is survived by her children, Mary Elizabeth Lee,John Edward Lee, III; andhis wife, Lynda; and JamesWhitfield Lee, and a sister,Vivian Herren Toellner. Sheis also survived by hergrandchildren: AmandaMichelle Lee, John EdwardLee, IV; P. Benjamin Lee,Dylan Whitfield Lee, andMarshall Floyd Lee. Funeralservices for Mrs. Lee andher sister Rebecca wereheld at the First UnitedMethodist Church, Tallassee, at 11 a.m. on Monday,May 2, 2011, the Rev. DaveBarkalow officiating.
