MARTHA ROSE "GURNEY" SMITH, 82 LAKELAND - Mrs. Martha Rose "Gurney" Smith of Lakeland, Fl, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 9, 2013 at LRMC due to heart failure. She was born May 28, 1931 to Linn and Lillian Squires Beckwith in McDonough, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband H. William Smith. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Paul Smith Macaluso; sons, David Smith, Mike Karen Smith and Steve Mary Smith; grandchildren Andrea Cockrell, Katie Smith, Ryan Smith, Josiah Smith, Nathan Smith and Shannon Levi McKinney; great grandchildren Chayse Cockrell, Paige Cockrell, Mykayla Colon, Cyrus Colon, Matthew Zippered, Abbigail Zippered and Ashlyn McKinney. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Esther Haas and their Victory Church Family for all of their care and concern over several weeks. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2 00 PM at the Victory Church Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dream Center, C/O Victory Church or VISTE.
