MARTHA M. DAVIS (NEE HENSON) HAMMOND, IN Martha M. Davis was called home to be with the Lord at age 80 on Sunday, October 21, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Tomaray Davis; children: Shirley Karen (Robert) McCall, II, Tomi Jo (Eugene) Schuster, Donna Lynn (Vern) Swanson, Patricia Diane (Jeffrey) Labadie, and Steven Ray (Vickie) Davis; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; and a host of many dear friends. Preceded in death by her son, Roger Alan Davis; grandson, Daniel Ryan McCall; parents: Joseph and Dovie Henson; and brother, Harold Henson. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. directly at First Christian Church of Hessville, 6733 Alabama Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Dan Nichols, minister officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. There will be a time of viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 10:000-11:00 a.m. Martha was born on March 9, 1932 in Walnut Ridge, AR and has lived in Hammond since her wedding in 1950. She had been a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Hessville since 1952. She enjoyed playing bingo with her many friends. Over the years Martha has had several jobs but her favorite has been wife and homemaker. She always put her family first and dearly loved each and every one of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
