DAVIS, MARIE FRANCES, 69Alachua - Frances Marie Davis, 69, of Alachua passed away Sunday, April 06, 2014 following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis spent most of her life in Gainesville, and lived in Alachua since 2003. Mrs. Davis had an administrative career in the Alachua County School System, and was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Gainesville. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 53 years Bob Davis, Sr., her sons Bobby Davis, Jr. of Newberry and Tim Davis (Michelle) of Gainesville, her daughters Lisa Solsburg (Theresa Tower) of Long Beach, CA and Patty Bullard (Bill Scott) of Gainesville, and her brothers Joe White (Joyce) of Lake City, John White (Shirley) of Gainesville, and Tommy White of Ft. White. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved extended family members. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Gainesville with Rev. Bill Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery near Alachua. The family will receive friends and family Friday from 5 - 7 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue in Gainesville. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606. Arrangements are under the care of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, 220 N.
