Maria Perri, age 85, died April 1 after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. She was a resident of Schnurmacher Nursing Home. Born September 26, 1918 to Caterina and Vito Sestito of San Vito, Italy. She came to this country in 1946 and resided in Bayonne, NJ, then moved to White Plains in 1949. Her husband Vito Perri who died in1983 predeceases her. She is survived by her son Carl M. Perri and wife Mary of White Plains, Joseph C. Perri and wife Bonnie of Orlando, FL, one sister Vienna Lamberti, her grandchildren Steven and Robin, Vickie, Scott and Amanda, Elaine, Carl Jr. and Jennifer, David and Allison. Her great-grandchildren Jill, Brian, Christopher, Adam, Ryan, Evan, Allison and Joseph. Predeceased by one brother Frank Sestito and two sisters Teresa Lamberti and Rosaria Palmieri. She was a wonderful cook, baker and loved her gardening. The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff at Schnurmacher Nursing Home and the Jansen Memorial Hospice for all their support and loving care. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to Schnurmacher Nursing Home, 12 Tibbits Avenue, White Plains, NY 10606, or to Jansen Memorial Hospice, 69 Main St., Tuckahoe, NY 10708. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, White Plains. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
