MARGARET ELLEN FLANAGAN - RALEIGH, N.C. - Margaret Ellen Flanagan died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Rex Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born July 8, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., to John and Alice Flanagan. While growing up, she resided in Buffalo, N.Y. and Montreal, Quebec, with the majority of her life being spent in Burlington. In 1996, Margaret relocated to Raleigh, N.C. Margaret graduated from Trinity College in Burlington, and spent most of her career as a Finance Manager. She recently retired from FirstPoint Management Resources. Margaret loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally, reading, gardening, Yoga and golf. She was a former member of the Trinity College Alumni Board. Margaret is survived by her sisters, Joan Flanagan and Mary Flanagan; and brother-in-law, Glenn Pare. She will also be dearly missed by several cousins and friends. A funeral Mass was be celebrated to honor Margret's life on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. A memorial service and burial is planned for July in Burlington.
