Margaret Elizabeth (Rustin) McKenzie, 91, of Flagler Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2012 after a brief illness. She was a resident of Flagler Beach, FL for 27 years, prior to that she lived for 35 years in Warner Robins, GA. She was born February 1, 1921 in Valdosta, GA to the late Thomas N. Rustin and Claudia Irene (Smith) Rustin. For 68 years she was the faithful and loving wife of William Harrison McKenzie who she met while he was stationed at Moody Field, Valdosta, GA. She is now with him to start a new life. She was a loving Mom to her sons, Grandmom to her grandchildren and Grandma Mac to her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Evelyn Inez (Rustin) Strom and brother Thomas N. Rustin, Jr. She is survived by: sons, William H. McKenzie, Jr. (Sandra) of Flagler Beach, FL, Scott Van McKenzie of Palm Harbor, FL; granddaughters, Keri Alicia McKenzie of Woodstock, GA, Lezlie Jeanne McKenzie-Mira (David) of Glen Ridge, NJ; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra McKenzie Conkwright, Lucas Mira-McKenzie and Anabel Mira-McKenzie. Visitation will be at Craig Flagler Palm Funeral Home, Flagler Beach, FL on Friday, July 27 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at the same location on Saturday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. Interment shall be 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 30 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.
