Lynda Wood Hartman CANANDAIGUA - Lynda Merle Wood Hartman, 75, of Canandaigua, passed away on March 31, 2014, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. She was born in Portland, Ore., to the late Rev. Lynn A. Wood and Gladys Warner Wood. Lynda is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Charlie Hartman; two children, Laura Hartman (Dennis Frazier) and Eric Hartman (Carrie Hartman); and three grandchildren, Phillip, Matthew and Danaya. As the daughter of a ministerial couple, Lynda called many different cities home, growing up in Yakima, Wash., Bakersfield, Calif., Amityville, N.Y. and Brooklyn, N.Y. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University, she moved with Charlie first to California and then to Geneva, N.Y., before settling in Canandaigua in 1976. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Canandaigua and was active in township governance in Hopewell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 100 N. Main St., Canandaigua.
