PALM COAST, Fla. - A Memorial service celebrating the life of Lyle Richard Raymond, 75, of Palm Coast will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Marks-by-the-Sea Lutheran Church, 303 Palm Coast Parkway. Lyle went to the arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 13, 2011. He was born in Rutland, VT, on November 19, 1935, a son of the late Guy and Elsie Carter Raymond, and was one of nine children. He had an AA in Business, was in the Vermont National Guard and was a Carpenter by trade. Lyle moved here from Killington, VT, in 1995. Here in Palm Coast, he became a member of St. Marks-by-the-Sea Lutheran Church and the Elks Lodge #2709. Lyle had enjoyed skiing and golfing and was a member of the Men's League at Grand Reserve and of Ocean Palm. A man who had a strong Christian Faith, Lyle had a great love and respect for the study of the Bible. He was a volunteer at the Flagler Auditorium. Lyle and Mary Ann enjoyed their many travels together. Surviving are his devoted wife of 30 years, Mary Ann Raymond; four children, Mark Raymond of Rutland, Vt., Zoe Raymond of Brandon, Vt., Holly Lord of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and John Heino of Newport, R.I.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Hubbard, Helen Trapenni, and Ruth Ann Pike; and one brother, Frank Raymond of Rutland, Vt.
