JOHNSON, Luther Wilson, 91, of Hudson, died March 18, 2006, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson. He was born in Layland, W.Va., and moved to Florida 26 years ago from Pontiac, Mich. He was a mechanic for General Motors in Pontiac. He was a retired staff sergeant for the U.S. Army after 20 years of service and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was of the Protestant faith, and was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in Hudson, and United Auto Workers Local 594 in Pontiac, Mich. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ella I. of Hudson; son, Frank R. Johnson of Grand Blanc, Mich.; daughters, Ruth Alice Summers of Pontiac, Mich., and Diane Irene Taylor of Port Charlotte; brother, Joseph Johnson of Beckley, W.Va.; sister, Imogene Chamarro of New Port Richey; grandchildren, Katrina, Kris, Keri, Samantha, Toby and Delena; and great-grandchildren, Kway, Kayla, Kennedy and Brian. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 23, with a service at noon at Michels ' Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Roak, New Port Richey. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements are entrusted to Michels ' Lundquist Funeral Home, New Port Richey.
