LUREENE JUDY FRANCES FREEMAN MORRIS FORMERLY OF GARY, IN Lureene Judy Frances Freeman Morris, formerly of Gary, IN, entered this life on January 27, 1941. Her family and friends celebrated her life until April 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Morris; mother, Willie Mae Freeman Morris; and brothers: Joseph and Ronald. Lureene is survived by her son, Melvin Morris; sisters: Jacqueline Wright, Freya (Thomas) Churchwell, and Felicia Freeman; brothers: Phillip Freeman, Dean Freeman, Roger (Runae) Freeman, John (Diane) Freeman, Gregory Wicker, Glenn Dudley; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lureene was a 1962 graduate of Elston High School in Michigan City, IN, and a 1963 graduate of the United States Navy Hospital Corps School. She retired from the V.A. Hospital of Hines, Illinois, with more than 20 years of service to the Federal Government. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Memory Lane Memorial Park & Funeral Chapel, 6305 W. Lincoln Highway (US 30), Crown Point, IN.
