VERGE, Lulu Gloria May 16, 1933 - June 15, 2008 - 75. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lulu Verge, Dartmouth, on June 15, 2008. Born in Sheet Harbour, she was a daughter of the late George and Grace (McKiel) Owen. She was a loving wife to the late Doug Verge and was a devoted mother, grandmother and a special friend to many. Her home was open to family and friends and any time spent with those she loved was special to her. Left to remember her great strength and wisdom are David (Betty), Cole Harbour; John (Carol), Dartmouth; Paul (Debbie), Lake Echo; Jane (Marc) Daigle, Dartmouth; Mark (Sandra), Cole Harbour; grandchildren, Lisa (Donnie) Murphy, Amy Lynn, Drew, Kaitlin, Tyler, Logan, Megan, Abigail; great-granddaughter, Chloe; brothers, Elwood, George (Geraldine), Keith (Carol-Ann), Karl, Jack (Joan), Delbert (Peggy); only surviving aunt, Florence McCarthy, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by sister-in-law, Evelyn. Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, Main Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be Friday, June 20, at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Veteran's Avenue, Dartmouth, Rev. Carolyn Tomlin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Dartmouth, followed by a reception in Atlantic Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Anglican Church, Sheet Harbour, St. James United Church, Sheet Harbour, or St. Luke's Anglican Church, Dartmouth.
