->New London - Lucy Mary Johnson, 86, of Longview St., New London, entered eternal life on April 27, 2010, at home.She was born March 26, 1924, in New London, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Fannie (Fortunato) Santangelo.She was united in marriage to Richard E. Johnson on April 24, 1946, in St. Joseph Church, New London. Mr. Johnson died on June 6, 2006.Lucy is survived by three sisters, Fannie Santangelo of New London, Louise Morgan and Mary Gentile, both of Waterford; eight nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two dear friends, Judy and Loretta. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Viola Howatt in 1987.Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Guests are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 17 Squire St., New London. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery-Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donors' choice of charity.
