Lucy Belle Grimes-Smith, age 81, of Athens, died on Saturday, December 22, 2012.Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Owens; sons, Gregory Leroy Smith and Jimmy Michael Smith; sisters, Dorothy Mae Murray, Gloria Little, and Maude Mattox; brothers, Charlie Joe, Lloyd W., Cleveland, Stanley, and Jimmy Goolsby, and Ollie Dunn; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, at Springfield Baptist Church, in Athens, with interment in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery.Gardenview Funeral Chapel, Athens, is in charge of the arrangements.
