LUCILLE (LOUISE) MILLER (NEE KUREK) BLACK OAK, IN Lucille (Louise) Miller (nee Kurek), age 91, of Black Oak, IN passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Louise (Matthew) Goldasic; sister, Eleanor Grudzien; devoted grandmother to William (Mary) Rosenbaum, Nicholas Rosenbaum, David Miller, Natalie (Jeremy) Worosz, Monique, Nicole and Samuel Miller and Robb Allison; great grandmother to John and Joe; great great grandmother to Abby and Adam; many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved very much; and special caregiver and friend, Maryann Douroux. Preceded in death by son, Jan Miller; loving companion, Robert Barham; five brothers; and six sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Fife Funeral Home, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Keith Virus officiating. Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN. Visitation at the Fife Funeral Home Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 PM. This amazing and wise woman was totally dedicated to her family and so loved her furry and feathered friends. Her door was always open to anyone who needed someone to talk with. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
