UntitledLUCILLE DABBSTHOMPSONLucille Dabbs Thompson of Pensacola passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008.Mrs. Thompson was born on September 15, 1917 in Quitman, MS to Bessie Arrington and Dick Dabbs. She was an active member with the Episcopal Church Women's Group, the Retired Officer's Wives Group and the DAR in Biloxi, MS and Pensacola, FL. She was a member of the St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.Her husband, Col. Matthew Thompson preceded her in death.She is survived by her sister, Addie Merchant Acosta of Pensacola; uncle, Glynn Arrington (Frances) of Birmingham, AL; niece, Marilyn Merchant of Pensacola; nephew, Robert Dabbs Merchant (Debbie) of Jackson, MS; sister-in-law, Katherine Dabbs of Pensacola; niece, Kay Stone (Dan) of Gulf Breeze; niece, Patricia Thompson Cooper of England; nephew, John Thompson (Sheila) of Canada; and other relatives including great and great great nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 12 noon until the funeral service at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Father Lester Durst officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503; Scholarship Fund of the Retired Officers Association, @ Scholarship Fund, MOAA, P. O. Box 34889, Alexandria, VA 22334-0889, or to a charity of your choice.HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of the arrangements.
