Lucille Cox Lee, age 87, of 1015 Moorhead Place, Pendleton, and formerly of 309 Fowler Rd, West Union, died Thursday, August 1, 2002, at her residence. Born in Oconee County, Feb. 2, 1915, Mrs. Lee was a retiree from the Kendall Co. with 21 years of service, was a life member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Hattie Miller Sunday School class, and taught the children's group for many years. Survivors: Sons, Rodney D. Lee of Seneca, and Roger K. Lee and wife Janet, of Pendleton; a brother, Leland Cox, of Mauldin; a sister, Louise Burton, of Westminster; and two grandchildren, Stefan Lee of Seneca, and Heather Lee of Greenville. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her Husband, Ernest L. "Pat" Lee; parents, Henry M. and Savannah Beard Cox; brothers, Willie Edd, Clarence H., Luther R. and J.L. Cox; and sisters, Irene Carver, Inez White, Clara Rutledge, Nellie Smith and Lucy Mae Capps. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2002, in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, with the Reverends Steve Roberts and Carl Pointer officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The body is at the Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Flowers are accepted and the family is at the residence of Roger and Janet Lee, 1015 Moorhead Place, Pendleton, SC 29670. The Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster, is in charge of arrangements.
