Lucille Carter, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on March 13, 2002. She was 85. Mrs. Carter was born on September 16, 1916 in New Rochelle to the late Philip John and Constance (Gavrelatos) Patouhas. On May 11, 1935 she married Frederick M. Carter. He died on September 9, 1990. Mrs. Carter worked as a Lab Technician at New Rochelle Hospital for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Carter is survived by two children, Philip and his wife Veronica of Long Island, and Penelope Dougherty and her husband Kevin of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Douglas William, David James, Kimberly Ann, Philamena Gabrielle, and Amelia Michelle. Visiting will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at LLOYD MAXCY & SONS BEAUCHAMP CHAPEL, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday at 10:45 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
