Lucienne-P. Beaulieu, née en 1919, conjointe de Rosario Beaulieu, fille de George et Adele, mère de Raymond, Debra, Gerard, Rita et Leo, est décédée le 18 août 2005 à l'âge de 85 ans.
AUGUSTA -- Lucienne "Cecile" P. Beaulieu, 85, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to meet her savior Thursday morning, Aug. 18, 2005, after a long struggle with multiple illnesses, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care at Gray Birch. She was in the midst of her caring children. She was born in Augusta on Aug. 25, 1919, a daughter of the late George and Adele (Parent) Pare.She was educated in Augusta schools and began her arduous work at the Bates Manufacturing mill, Edwards Division, circa 1935, working until her retirement in 1983. She lived the majority of her life on State Street, then moved to Washington Street and Chelsea prior to Gray Birch.She was a lifelong communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was a member of Cushnoc Senior Citizens, Happy Family Senior Citizens and Les Dames de Ste. Anne (Ladies of St. Anne) Society of St. Augustine's Parish.In addition to her strong love of her family, she enjoyed her cats, Minnie and Pearl; attending live theater; watching all sports; and prided herself on keeping up with her children's and grandchildren's birthdays and anniversaries. She also relished her unofficial position as historian of the Pare family. Other interests were traveling with Cushnoc seniors club as well as other senior citizen clubs.Mrs. Beaulieu was predeceased by her husband, Rosario Beaulieu, in 1985; and two brothers, Robert "Babe" Pare, in 2001, and an infant brother, Donald Pare.She is survived by two sons, Raymond Beaulieu and his wife, Debra, of Sidney and Gerard "Butch" Beaulieu of Chelsea; six daughters, Rita Nadeau and her husband, Leo Jr., of Augusta, Cecile Roussel and her husband, Ronald, of South Gardiner, Doris Belanger and her husband, Robert, and Anne Sirois and her husband, Larry, all of Augusta, Rose Dumont and her husband, Bill, of Chelsea and Theresa "Terry" Barnes and her husband, Larry, of Randolph; two brothers, Laurier "Joe" Pare and Laurent "Lefty" Pare, both of Augusta; a sister, Desneige Beaulieu of Augusta; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.Visiting hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where officers and members of the Ladies of St. Anne Society are asked to meet at 3 p.m. to recite prayers for their departed member. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Avenue, Augusta.
