Lucie Vautour 1913-2012 Surrounded by her large loving family at the Villa Maria, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Monday, December 31, 2012, Lucie Vautour passed away at the age of 99 years. She was the wife of the late René Vautour (2001). Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on December 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Appoline Richard and the late Jean Richard. She is survived by her eight daughters; Idora (Emile), Noëlla (Bernard), both of Dieppe, Claire (Ronald) of Moncton, Lucille (Émilien) of Bathurst, Solange (Jean-Guy) of St. Ignace, Anne-Marie (Vincent),Pierrette (Ronald) and Lise (Armand) all of St-Louis-de-Kent, six sons; Gilles (Huguette) of Chicoutimi, Qc, Richard of Verdun, Qc, Donation (Marie), Paul-Émile (Norma), Roland (Joan) and Jean-Pierre (Camilla) all of St-Louis-de-Kent. She also leaves behind 35 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Her family has 147 members, including spouses. She is survived by two sisters: Alphonsine Robichaud (late Dr. Eugene) and Jeannette Desroches (Adrien) both of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, a foster brother; Albert Gallant (Jacqueline) of Richibucto as well as many nieces and nephews. Lucie was predeceased by her parents, a son; (Gerard), a daugther-in-law; Annette (Paul Emile), five brothers; Auguste, Robert, Joseph, René and Vital (15 December 2012), and two sisters; Ernestine and Flora. Love, generosity, tenderness, affection, kindness and faith of our mother deeply impacted us. Her words and actions are instilled in our hearts and in our family memories. It is part of our sacred history. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Thursday, January 3rd from 10:00 to 1: 30 pm at Thompson Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, 148 St-Ignace Road (506-876-4665). A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 3rd, 2012 at 2:00 pm, St-Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church in St-Louis-de-Kent. Persons wishing to make a donation in memory of Lucie can do so to the charity of their choice. Funeral services are entrusted to Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
