Smith, Louise C.Louise Catherine Stuart Smith, 91 of Milford entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2012 in the Connecticut Hospice. She was the devoted wife of the late Franklyn A. Smith for 62 years and loving mother to the late Pamela Stuart Smith Hudak. Louise was born in Derby, CT on November 25, 1921, daughter of the late Henry J. and Helen Shanley Stuart. She was the beloved grandmother of John David Hudak. She was a graduate of Lauralton Hall in Milford. In addition to her grandson she is survived by her sister, Jane Stuart Fowler of Milford and her son-in-law, David J. Hudak also of Milford. Louise cherished time spent with her family and was blessed with the love of several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Henry J. Stuart, Jr. and four sisters, Margaret S. Boynton, Elizabeth S. Maher, Martha A. Stuart and Ann S. Pepe. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013, without procession to Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment will be private. Friends and family may visit on Sunday, August 4, 2013 for viewing from 4 to 7 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to Saint Mary School, 72 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460 or to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.
