SMITH, LOUISE "LOU", 64 Inverness - Louise "Lou" Smith died suddenly Friday, August 18, 2006 in Citrus Memorial Health Systems. Born in Ocala, Fl. on February 11, 1942 to the late Louis and Harriet (Holt) Connell, she was a lifelong resident of Citrus County. She graduated from Citrus High School in 1960, attended CFCC and Florida Southern College. Mrs. Smith was active in the community, having managed the Connell Lake Golf & Country Club, served as Past President and Charter Member of Altrusa, long time member of Xi Epislon Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, presently serving as Vice- President of the Inverness Area City Council of Beta Sigma Phi. She was also a member of the Citrus County Fair Scholarship Committee and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Survivors include: her husband of 41 years, Max O. Smith of Inverness; 2 daughters Harriet Smith Pautler and her husband Dean of Tampa, Fl, Sara Anne Merritt of Inverness; sister Sara Connell Arnette of Ocala; 3 grandchildren Max and Ellen Pautler and Preston Merritt. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Connell in 1998. Funeral services will be conducted from St. Margarets Episcopal Church in Inverness on Thursday, August 24th at 11 a.m. with Fr. Eugene Reuman, church Rector, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Information provided by CHAS. E.
