-> Louise P. Jackson, 80, died Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Hospice Savannah surrounded by her family. She was a native and life long resident of Tybee Island. She served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and later was a school bus driver with Chatham County Public Schools. Mrs. Jackson retired after many years from Oceanside Nursing Home as a dietary manager. She was a member of Trinity Chapel United Methodist Church, Tybee Island Historical Society and a volunteer with Tybee Island Light Station. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years; Henry G. Jackson, Sr. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Survivors: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Terry Jackson and Henry G. Jackson, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bubba Hiers, all of Tybee Island; four sisters, Margaret Lee of Statesboro, Jean Sheley of Tybee Island, Janet Taulbee of Savannah and Billie Bodaford of Nashville, TN; five grandsons; Paul Jackson, Jr., Cameron Jackson, Gus Cowart, Jacob Jackson and Gabriel Jackson; one granddaughter, Laura Cowart and two great grandsons, Trey and Kyle Jackson, all of Tybee Island. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2006 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks with Reverend Hale Bishop officiating. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
