Edith Louise MillerNovember 4, 1915 in Wild Rose, Saskatchewan - March 3, 2014 in White Rock, British ColumbiaEdith passed away peacefully after a short illness at Peach Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. with her family by her side. She is predeceased by her husband Leon Lefevre Miller, her sister Doris Pither, brothers Leonard, John, Bill, and her grandson Craig Bailey. Surviving Edith is her sister Peggy Webb, her children Louise Ehrenholz (husband Walter), Don (wife Carolyn) and Dianne Brooks (husband Pat), her 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. Edith was a much loved matriarch of the family and looked forward each year to the annual Christmas Family get-together and any other celebrations. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and looked to the future for many more great-great-grandchildren. Her spirit was bright and always positive and those around her remarked that her smile was ever present, and always shone more brightly when she was with her family. Edith is remembered for her many years of service operating the day care at the New Westminster Free Methodist Church, and it can be fairly stated that everyone's children were special to her, and sure to bring a warm smile to her face. She enjoyed her extended family at Westminster House and never missed church and bible study, and loved her care-givers. Edith was 98 years young at her passing and we are blessed to have had her in our lives for such a long time, and her presence will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in Edith's honour on Saturday March 8, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Langley Golf Centre, 4343 216th Street, Langley, B.C. Viewing will be held on Monday March 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Arbor Centre, Valley View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 14644 72nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C. with Interment to follow at 11:00 am.
