Louise Garrett Jordan, 85, wife of John N. Jordan for 55 years, died Sunday, March 01, 2009.Mrs. Jordan was born December 22, 1923, in Pelzer to the late J.T. Garrett and Ethel McDonald Garrett. She was a clothing reweaver. She was a member of Standing Springs Baptist Church, where she served on the church hostess committee and the flower committee, and she was a participant in the Senior Adult Group.Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Jim Jordan and his wife Rita; two nieces, Tammy Douglas and her husband Paul, Nancy Peters and her husband Glenn; a nephew, Johnny Garrett; special friends, Jerry and Connie Spears; two grandchildren, Beth and Robert; and three great-grandchildren.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Standing Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Michael Beeks and Rev. Russ Shinpoch. Entombment will be in the Cannon Memorial Park Mausoleum.Memorials may be made to the Standing Springs Baptist Church Senior Adult Group, 1111 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.The family is at the home of Glenn and Nancy Peters, 312 S. Harrison Bridge Road in Simpsonville.Fletcher Funeral Service
